North Otago will travel to Ashburton to take on Mid Canterbury in week seven of the Heartland Championship tomorrow.
Mid Canterbury sit in fifth place on the points table with three wins, a draw and two losses, while the Old Golds are eighth despite a resurgence in form over the last two rounds with three wins and three losses.
The Hammers handed this season’s whipping boys, East Coast, a 67-12 mauling last weekend but will face an infinitely tougher test against Mike Mullins side who toppled South Canterbury 22-19 in their last outing.
Mullins said there were some injury concerns within the squad and Lemi Masoe’s inclusion remained uncertain following a groin injury sustained against Thames Valley.
