Old Boys, Athletic Marist and Kurow were victors in the latest round of the Oamaru Citizen’s Shield.
The victories now leave Old Boys as the only unbeaten team, Kurow and Athies with two wins, Excelsior with one, and Maheno and Valley yet to register a win.
Athies tackled Valley at White Stone Contracting Park No5 and sneaked away with a 19-18 victory despite playing with 14 men for the whole of the second half after their fullback Ian Taueli was sent off for a dangerous tip tackle after the whistle had gone.
