Old Golds set for East Otago

North Otago will welcome East Coast to the Whitestone Contracting Stadium tomorrow in the last round-robin clash on this year’s Heartland Championship.

The Old Golds will be intent on securing a Lochore Cup semi-final after any aspirations of a Meads Cup playoff place were dashed in Ashburton last weekend in a 28-7 loss to Mid Canterbury, but Mike Mullins’ side currently sit ninth on the points table.

East Coast’s campaign has been dismal. Tomorrow’s visitors have yet to win this season, having notched a mere 62 points and were convincingly beaten (34-7) by King Country in week seven.

Tomorrow’s tie will kick off at 2.30pm at the Whitestone Contracting Stadium.
