The Borton Cup has reached its second half of the round robin phase as six teams prepare to lock horns tomorrow.
Union will play host to Albion at King George Park in a Payne Tempero challenge tie.
The blues will be defending the trophy for the 11th time, having already seen off Eastern in the last challenge a fortnight ago.
Albion will return to action following last weekend’s bye, but will take confidence from their last outing, a 51 run victory over Waitaki Boys’ High School at Milner Park.
The Mungas have notched three wins this term, their only defeat coming in a nine wicket loss to Valley in round four.
Union have yet to taste defeat this season and downed WBHS by nine wickets in their last outing, but will be all too aware of how menacing Albion can be after last year’s final defeat.
Valley will entertain Oamaru in Weston and the Choccos are still without a win in what is proving as much a frustrating campaign as last year.
Matt Murphy’s side lost out by 132 run in Waikouaiti in round six, while Valley proved too strong for St Kevin’s for a nine wicket win.
Eastern will visit Waitaki in the hope of continuing their promising form.
