North Otago began preparations for their upcoming campaign with a tough test against Southland Stags on Saturday at the Whitestone Contracting Stadium.
The Old Golds fell to a 55-9 defeat. Stags’ coach David Henderson fielded a a strong side including Jamie Mackintosh, Elliot Dixon, Josh Bekhuis and Marty McKenzie for the pre-season encounter.
