Young rugby players are set to benefit from the North Otago Rugby Union’s latest initiative – a High Performance Academy – to further develop the abilities of players aged 20 and under.
Six players – Melikisua Kolinisau , Jake Greenslade, Filipo Veamatahau, Matthew Vocea, Sione Palaa and Simon Lilicama recently completed this year’s inaugural 12-week programme.
The players were selected for the initiative, which was developed by North Otago Heartland team physiotherapist Philippa Masoe, based on their performances in 2014 and their desire to achieve.
