Super 15 trophy Oamaru-bound

Following a packed street parade in Dunedin on Monday, the Highlanders will take the Super rugby trophy to their supporters over the coming weeks.

The trophy, which weighs 28kg, will be taken to various centres throughout the Highlanders’ region to provide photo opportunities for fans and will be at Placemakers Oamaru tomorrow between 10am and 2pm.

“At the game, and at the parade on Monday so many people, young and old, wanted photos with the cup and it just wasn’t possible to give everyone an opportunity.”
