Wins for Gold, Wildfire, Athies, SKC A

SKC Snr A were victorious in the opening fixture of the premier division on Saturday in a tightly-contested 18-16 clash with Excelsior at noon at the Taward St courts.

The action continued, with Waitaki Girls’ Wildfire convincingly downing SKC Snr B 44-21. Wildfire have found a fine run of form after beating Athies 35-30 last week and remain undefeated in round two.

Valley Silver’s poor form continued as Athies handed them a 35-8 hiding, while Valley Gold bounced back from their first loss of the season last weekend, with a 33-26 win over Waitaki Lightning Strike after trailing 15-10 at half-time.
