Railway plans West Coast run

North Otago train enthusiasts will have the chance to be part of Dunedin Railways’ first ever West Coast Rail excursion.

The trip they are running is a five-night, six-day trip to the West Coast for the first time, which includes picking passengers along the East Coast on their way through to Christchurch before heading inland.

Dunedin Railways chief executive Murray Bond said the West Coast excursion has gained plenty of interest from Oamaru.
