Camera footage to capture vandals


The Waitaki District Council is hoping CCTV footage will identify the culprits linked to a string of damage near the harbour.

Lights and drainage pipes were damaged near the train station shelter on Thursday night.

Waitaki District Council corporate services group manager Carolyn Carter said there was a low rate of vandalism in Oamaru, but the latest incident was still disappointing.
