The annual Waimate Vintage Car swap meet is being held this Saturday at the Waimate Vintage Car Club.
It’s an event held on the first Saturday of September every year and all car enthusiasts are invited to come along to the day.
People wanting to be part of the swap meet can bring along car parts, vintage or modern, and sell them.
Waimate Vintage Car Club president Peter Bootsma said it was one of two fundraisers the club held each year.
“We have this and a vintage car rally in February every year and these are the two main fundraisers for the vintage car club.”
Mr Bootsma said it should be a good day out.
“We are confident people will come along with their car parts and either trade them or sell them if they wish.”
There were about 25 people who paid for a site last year to sell car parts and Mr Bootsma said they would like a similar number this year.
“That’s about the most we can fit in the hall space-wise.”
It costs $5 for a site, $2 for entry and children under 15 can enter for free.
