Meeting of minds for mayoral hopefuls

Three of Oamaru’s mayoral hopefuls answered questions and debated issues at a Business Development Oamaru (BDO) function last week.

BDO is a group which aims to provide networking opportunities, foster personal and professional development, encourage entrepreneurship and promote Oamaru as a place for young professionals to live, work and play.

Formed last year by Lance Streeter, Josh Dooley and Joanna Carey, the group is back in action for 2013, kicking off with a meeting and an informal opportunity to question and chat to some of the mayoral candidates – Jim Hopkins, Fliss Butcher and Gary Kircher.
