Rates set to rise 3.9pc when annual plan gets council nod

Waitaki District Council is expected to adopt its 2013/14 annual plan today. Waitaki Mayor Alex Familton thanked members of the public who took the time to participate in the preparation of the draft plan.

“Your submissions were carefully read during the hearings process in May, which resulted in a district-wide average rates increase of 3.9 per cent,” he said.
