Week seven of the Oamaru Liquorland Citizens Shield will see Old Boys lock horns with Kurow, Excelsior entertain Maheno and Valley take on Athletic Martist.
Last week’s fixtures offered up some explosive action as Old Boys responded in style from their first loss of the campaign to Athies with a merciless 83-0 hiding of Maheno.
Injury woes didn’t help Maheno, but coach Josh Clarke is confident ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Blues with his side back at full strength.\
“We’re up to full strength and good to go,” he said.
“We’ve got that hunger that we had in the first round back, I’m really looking forward to it.”
Valley took revenge for their opening day loss with a 30-12 victory over Excelsior last weekend, but face a tough test in Athies tomorrow who continue to keep the pressure on Old Boys at the table’s summit following a 46-5 win over Kurow in week six.
Kurow remain the only side without a win this term and will have their work cut out against Old Boys at the Whitestone Contracting Stadium.
