Dunedin four-piece band Die Musikband will make its first Oamaru appearance at the Settler Theatre later this month, celebrating the release of debut EP Erste Musik
Die Musikband brings a heap of experience to the stage.
Drummer Jeff Harford (Bored Games, The Rip, The Broken Heartbreakers) is joined by guitarist John Guy Howell (Salon Kingsadore, The Broken Heartbreakers), bassist Karen McLean (Onanon) and synth player Alex Gilks (Old Tom Frost) to deliver what Harford describes as “sonic krautrock”.
The band’s four-track EP was engineered by Operation Rolling Thunder’s Rob Falconer and mixed by Howell.
Tickets for the Settler Theatre show would include a free download code.
“It’s nice to be able to offer a memento of the gig,” Harford said.
Support on the night will come from embryonic ex-Christchurch instrumental duo Flybaby, featuring Russell (Zero) and G (Snuffbox, Swamp Donkeys and Flange).
